Since we have a Beavis and Butthead thread, may as well do one on the MTV show Daria.

Daria was a popular animated television show that aired on MTV in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The show centered around the titular character, Daria Morgendorffer, a cynical and sarcastic teenage girl who struggled to navigate the challenges of high school and teenage life. One of the show's most notable accomplishments was its portrayal of complex, nuanced characters, particularly its female characters.

Daria herself was a refreshing departure from the typical teenage girl characters seen on television at the time. She was intelligent, independent, and unapologetically herself, refusing to conform to societal expectations of what a teenage girl should be. This made her a relatable and inspiring role model for many young women who felt out of place or misunderstood in their own lives.

Have you watched the show before? Favorite episode and characters?

I'm so glad you made this thread, because I have the complete series on DVD.

Sorry for the double post, but I had to do it. ;)

This song has literally been in my head since the 90s. I find myself randomly singing it even NOW all these years later.

Even though I've been a huuuuuuge Beavis & Butt-Head fan for years, I never really got into Daria in the same way. I've seen an episode here or there but never enough to hook me into watching the whole series. Do you think it still holds up and is worth checking out this many years later?

Yeah, I'd say watch it, it couldn't hurt.

I think Beavis and butthead is way better of a show though!
