Whats something you could say to instantly ruin a date?

Have you ever unintentionally ruined a date by something you said or did?

A divorced guy I used to work with told a story one morning that I had no choice but to listen to.

He went out with this woman, picked her up and they went to the restaurant, then he realized he had forgotten his wallet.

Perhaps the shortest recorded date in state history.

Anyway, I called an extremely rude, obnoxious poor excuse for waitress a "cunt" one time and that didn't go over well with anyone. Should have kept that comment to myself, sometimes internal thoughts slip out, I'm only human. ...but the waitress was the one who ruined our overall date, not me.

I have not said anything deliberately to freak out a date, but then again I don't care for dating so I haven't had many chances to do so.
