Have you ever tried a dating website?

Ive hooked up with people from myspace but Ive never used one of those ones like eharmony.com

I've never tried one and never will. It somehow makes me feel like a loser to have to find a date that way. I apologize to any member who might think they are a good way to meet people or that have met a person this way. I am merely expressing the way that I feel about these types of site.

This lady at my work met her husband off eharmony and they are a great couple. Very happy.

It doesnt matter HOW you meet your significant other, all that matters is that you found each other.

I tried e harmony

There were tons of of pages of questions to answer to find my match.

When the time came for me to pay, I thought, nope not yet.

later I was emailed 10 people that were just like me.

later 12 more showed up.

well, I laughed and laughed!

They were not at all like me, I am a smoker, most were not.

I have 4 cats, some hated cats.

The only thing they do is match you up to people who live in your own area, so don't be suckered in.

I've seen commercials for sites like eharmony, and personally, I don't trust sites like that. I don't really have an interest in dating anyway, no matter how it's done.

Ashley, don't trust any of them, I just couldn't believe how eharmony was handled, they are a huge dating site known here as well.

I am so glad I never paid their monthly fees only to find out their matches just meant they lived near you, nothing else was in common.

No, too young anyways, but it's just better to go out to meet people in my opinion.

I'd never trust sites like that anyways, no matter how good they seemed. So nothing to worry about on my end.

Any other comments on dating sites?

This sort of reminds me of this survey my school gave out last year. They made you answer a select amount of questions and they will later give you names of the people who get the closest results as you did for a friendship or a date... Questions like Which fruit would you be? and there were only four options to choose from, haha.

Not ready to date but if I were I don't think I'd use these types of methods.

Currently I'm in college, so I don't really have a need for a dating site because you meet so many new people, but I could imagine myself using one in a few years when I'm working depending on the social situation I'm in at that time.

I also don't think any less of it as meeting any other way, I even prefer it to meeting someone in a bar, but that might just be because I'm in college.
