I've never used one but my friend did. She met a guy and they kept exchanging pictures and talking on the phone. This went on for a month or two before they decided to meet each other in person. She was scared to go alone and asked me to go with her. They were to meet at a dinner. He said he would be driving a red pickup trunk. We got there early and waited in the car. Finally a red pickup truck pulled into the parking lot. A very fat, bald and old man got out of the truck.

My friend is in her late 20's and this guy told her he was 28 years old. He must have been sending her old photos of himself because this man had to be over 50 years old. She just calmly backed the car up and we left.

This idiot actually had the nerve to call her and yell at her for not showing up. WTF! Didn't he know the 'game' would be over the minute she met him? Thank goodness she never gave him her address. All he had was her cell phone number which she had to change.

Needless to say, she has never again used an online dating website.

A friend of mine recommended one for casual hookups but I'm not all that comfortable using one even if it is free.
