Daylight Savings Time 2011

There are a few things you should remember this weekend when you fall back for Daylight Savings Times.



First, remember to set your clocks back one hour before you go to sleep Saturday. Daylight Savings Time for 2011 officially ends at 2 a.m. Sunday in the United States and Canada.



Second, make time to check and replace the batteries in your smoke detectors.



Not all areas in the United States observe Daylight Savings Time. These include the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Hawaii and most of Arizona except for the Navajo reservation.

I hate this time of year too! I hate the bitter cold and dealing with the snow. Once I get a chill, it takes me forever to get warm again.

You see I like this time of year. I prefer the cold than to the hot.

While I don't like triple digit heat numbers, I prefer the warmer weather. There is so much more you can do in the warmer weather that you cannot do when it's so damn cold out. I also love when people say they love snow. Most who say that don't have to shovel it or have the extra expenses that comes along with it. Snow for me is very expensive. More heating oil, more wood burned and paying a plow guy $30 per plow. Sometimes, I have to get plowed 2/3 times in one day. That all adds up.

I've only heard the kids say they love snow. I don't mind shoveling it (only because my driveway is small

), but I don't like when I have to drive in it. And I also don't like to have to waste more gas to heat my car windows of the frost.

Nothing, but if you check those every time you change the time, they won't run out of power.

You are correct and I always change the batteries when I change the clocks. It's just a good thing to do.
