This weekend my wife got the idea in her head that she wanted to gut, redecorate and change up the entire house over the course of a two day weekend. Which, may seem great, though it's consumed the entire weekend and I'm dreading work tomorrow.
I guess it's probably something that'd be better places on annual leave or something. But anyway.

So we have heaps of furniture out on the nature strip with a 'FREE' sign on it, and very little has gone overnight. :P
We have our kids rooms looking beautiful, the playroom is starting to take shape next weekend (it has a friend of mine who left his missus' stuff in there.)
Oh, and an Ikea outdoor setting going up in the backyard! (I've only wanted that for 18 months.)

What are your decluttering stories, do you do it often or not nearly enough?

My furniture layout has been the same since I moved in here.

We moved to a smaller house in the country earlier this year and have now got way too much stuff.
We've taken a good bit to the dump already but I'm going to have to hire a van and get ruthless with the rest of it sooner rather than later.

I wouldn't do an all-out decluttering and getting rid of things in such a short time period unless I was moving out, but I do try to push myself to declutter drawers, closets, cabinets, etc. I need to do it more often because there are some places in this apartment that could use it badly.
