So I recently, within the last few weeks, took up crocheting and I started with scarves for my major projects aside from learning the stitches and whatnot. I then tried a hat, but that was too complicated, so I tried a blanket instead. Here is the blanket:

Nice work!

My daughter's mom and grandma are both into that. They always make me stuff I never end up using. I asked my ex to crochet me a penguin (stuffed toy). He's around here somewhere. :P

I've always wanted to try it, but I never got into it until now. I convinced myself to just do it and now I've made only a few things and I have people asking me to make them stuff already. xD I may or may not start a business with it depending on a few things, but I'm glad I decided to pick it up. It's a very good feeling when you can produce something gorgeous.

nice job @dee!

not sure if i'd be able to do that, never tried...

pretty kitty by the way...

the blanket looks very nice and could serve many purposes, such as a foot blanket on your bed or a kitty blanket, i'm sure the kitty would lay on it...

nice scarves too, never wore one as i never needed to, but nice looking nonetheless...  ^^

Very nice work and I could use a scarf right now!

I'm definitely up for taking orders and selling them through Etsy or just having my own website/paypal kinda thing. Would need to make a name for myself, though, first, or go through a trusted website. I don't want anyone to think I'm scamming them.

Those look pretty snug :D

They are!

Very nice!

My mom is in the process of making another blanket herself.

Still making stuff? :!:

I want to make another blanket, a bigger one this time, but the yarn gets really expensive.  I plan on making another one soon, though.  When I make something else, I'll post a picture.

Sounds good.  What colors are you going to use?

Well, a friend of mine wanted me to make a blanket for his daughter, so I was going to use a bright pink/coral color.  My mom wants me to make a blanket for her in a dark burgundy, but I want to make one for myself.  I just don't know what color.  Maybe taupe?

What's taupe?

My favorite color is green.  You can make me one the same hue as my username <----- :!:

Taupe.

Also, yes I can!  But I need to start charging, unfortunately.  Just 4 big balls of yarn for two blankets is running me close to $100. xD

Oh, thats a bland color. Looks nice though. :P

Yarn is expensive!

It's a bland color, but it's neutral and it can work really well as a throw.  I may do like a grey or burgundy like my mom.

Burgundy is a good color. I used to have a whole matching bed set that color.

That's a pretty expensive set of blankets!
How much are you going to charge Nebulous to get a green blanket? :P

I have absolutely no idea what I would charge anyone. Starting your own business is confusing and frightening, and I would need to do more research on how to calculate what my projects are worth.
