I picked up painting a month or so ago and I really just started to paint on the canvas. Before, I was doing it on drawing paper, but here are two of my paintings:

Love the colors you chose for the first painting. The mountains in the second painting look great against the the blue sky.

Well done and thank you for sharing!

Thank you for letting me share. It's been a long time since I've painted anything, and it is difficult! It doesn't seem like it would be, but I want to get into into it more. :)

Looking good! I'd hang one in my living room. ^^

I want to try and paint some more and then get them framed, maybe. We'll see! My brother suggested I sell them, and that's always something to consider.

Here's another one I did. Going for a more minimal look this time:

hi, just stopped by when i saw your work. Beautiful art..i used to take up painting but didnt have the patience. Thx for sharing

Thank you! Your comment is very much appreciated. :) Yeah, this last one I posted took me a little longer than the others mainly because I had to wait until the acrylic paint dried to put another top coat on. It took me about 6 coats, two for each color, to get the matte look I wanted.

ill bet painting supplies cost a lot. When i was painting, supplies were affordable.. guess it all depends on inflation hmm

They do cost a pretty penny. I just went to the place I normally get them and while they were having a sale, 4 tubes of paints and 6 crayon-sized pastels cost me 41 bucks.

Yet another one I wasn't too sure what I was going to do, but once I started to paint in the brains, it all kind of came together.

Thank you, Moose and Nebulous. I hadn't painted anything since the last one I posted, and I've been running a little dry in the well of ideas. T_T
