Deleting you account

Don't you just hate it when you want to delete your account for some reason, and there is no way to do it in your CP. And also when you ask the admin they turn around and say... I don't know how to do that or Sorry we don't delete accounts here, Just log out and never log back in again



Bloody hell, I ask for someone to do one thing and they can't even do it! Winds me up!

What I do is start a thread Good Bye and tell them why. The thread doesn't stay up long because the Admin shuts it down when they see it. In the mean time others members have already seen it and know why I'm leaving

I also remove my avatar and under my avatar I simply put Good Bye

I delete all the information on my profile page including any album pictures I have uploaded. Gosh...I am devious

That's exactly why Admin like this get away with what they do. I don't go down without a fight

Why would you want your account deleted anyways? If you don't want emails from the board just put in a fake one and don't verify it.

My alternative to deleting people who wanted to be deleted was perm banning them.

I hate it when people delete their accounts. I hardly have any members to begin with. So I need as many as I can get. If everybody deletes their account then I have no members left. So I try to discurrage deleting accounts. And I never delete zeros cuz you never know they may come back. Some are just busy.

Why would you want to have your account deleted? It's not like it'll ruin your good name, maybe he wants to keep your account in existence to also keep any of the post you made intact. Don't blame him for not wanting to act like one of his members never existed, what difference does it make? Just log out and leave. I wouldn't put up a huge fight for it isn't a big deal but I don't blame him for not wanting to delete one of someones account.

It's quality not quantity, you could have a million members on your forum but if they don't get on or post you are no better than a forum with one member.
