The dentist sucked all the life out of me

The Root Canal or however, you spell it, was fine, yeah it hurt for awhile but after a few shots it felt fine, regardless, due to the fact I couldn't keep my mouth opened the entire time of the project, they put one of those bite guards in my mouth, so I couldn't close it, which is understandable, wouldn't like to bite down on a needle, but after they take it out my jaw always hurts like ****. They spent two hours working on my tooth and every time I'd adjust myself to get comfortable the nurse would jerk my neck back making sure I am placed perfectly for the doctor to see

, I got so bored I literally started count the hairs on the dentists neck (3212)

Finally, I would be done with the little checkup with a jaw hurting like crazy and body aching due to being bent backwards in the chair for the past two hours and realize they inadvertently numbed my right nostril in the process of numbing my tooth

making it very unpleasant to sniff, lol, I bought some coffee because I was so tired due to staying up all night thanks to the pain in that tooth that I needed something to help me stay awake and due to the numbness, it simply dribbled over my lips to my once clean shirt, so here I am left still with pain in my tooth, tired and looking like Adam Sandler portraying Little Nicky due to the fact that I can't open the right side of my mouth.

Thank god my mom didn't choose to stick to her first plan of having this done on my birthday. I feel bad talking without giving some sort of a question, share a few of your dentist stories.

Not nice at all, I hate that numbing stuff, Theres a new thing of here, I'm not sure how it works exactly. But mum says its not a needle and although it goes numb straightaway, your don't have all that numbness afterwards.

I went to the dentist recently for a check up and clean. The dentist told me I have something on my wisdom tooth that the hygenist will clean up no problem. The hygenist told me I have a hole in my tooth from where it has started to decay. Because it is my wisdom tooth its extremely hard to reach with a tooth brush!

I can't stand it when something's put in my mouth and I'm not allowed to eat it, makes me wanna barf it out...

if I ever have to have something like this done I think I'll ask them to just knock me out...

I feel you 100%! I'm 16 and it's rare to see kids of my age get Root Canals. You more see them in adults 40+ years of age.

I've had two root canals and they don't hurt at all. What DOES hurt is the month before you have a root canal your jaw locks (lockjaw) and the dentist or any of the 5 specialized doctors don't have a clue whats up. So I sat home the first month of freshman year of high school waiting for my jaw to unlock hyped up on over 1,300MG of drugs such as muscle relaxers, steroids, and painkillers. Oh and to add on, that whole month I had an inflammation in my gums/tooth which is why I needed a root canal.

So that was my first. Then I had a second about three months later.

It sucks sitting there with your mouth forced wide open for 1-2 hours.

My teeth are still messed though man. They have no clue what's wrong with me but I'm ALWAYS sensitive to hot and cold...

Yeah idk it all sucks lol.
