How do you deal with it?

Have a good cry and eat chocolate. lol

Then just get up and deal with it.

Have a few beers. That usually leads to more depression though..

If its a day I dont have my daughter I will give her a call at her moms and talk to her or go pick her up for a couple hours to go to the park or something. That always cheers me right up.

A call to my Bff usually works. I vent, cry on his shoulder, and he makes it all better.

Depression or just feeling blue one day? I've got depression, apparently. I have bipolar disorder as well, so I was seeing a psychiatrist for that, and she diagnosed me with depression as well. We have weekly 'And how do you feel about that?' sessions...

One thing that made a lot of sense to me, she said that the depression made all the wrong chemicals go off in my brain, and I just felt like staying in bed, not talking to anyone or going out. But you have to 'break the cycle' and force yourself to do things that you don't feel like doing, so that your brain thinks that you're getting better and will start to shoot off the right chemicals.

I justlie in bed and stare at the ceiling and occasionally punching my pillow.

I too have bi-polar disorder. I have had depression for years. I go to a psychiatrist and used to go to a therapist till she started making it worse. One day I got sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and started having a positive attitude and working on forums helps. I am on disability however and can't work out but my depression is much better. My psychiatrist does have me on medication that works quite well.
