Diarrhea Mouth

This is what I call people who just run their mouths. They have nothing to really say but they just keep talking and talking. You can't get a word in and I'm not interested in anything they have to say. They never seem to shut up and they go from subject to subject rarely taking a breath in between.

Do you know someone like this?

I work with a roomful of them.



They chat.



I've heard discussions of their neighbor's dogs, their previous jobs, the sex lives of their kids, gardening tales, church doings, travels, guitar shopping, views on assorted charities, and what one of their brothers did twenty years ago.......



They have no concern what anybody else is doing, or if they are on the phone to a vendor or customer, and they have let their phone ring through a full cycle and go to voice mail instead of interrupting their conversation to answer it.



I am now forced in interest of self preservation to wear a gamer's headset and listening to music.



And yes, the bosses know.



Some of them chat too.

I do that sometimes to prevent awkward silences XD. I personally don't mind it if someone talks a lot, it's when they're only interested in talking about themselves and don't listen to others that annoys me.

Yes.



They went on for some time about the social/mating adventures of their children. Between them they have three, all in their twenties, two in college, and they discussed their various dating episodes.



And no, I did not want to hear any of it, but, as it were, I have a front row seat.

It doesn't really bother me unless they just talk about themselves.. I just zone out

I encounter a few of them on a daily basis. I cant say if they annoy me or if they dont.

What annoys me is when people cant stop talking about themselves.
