What did you get for Christmas and did you have a good Christmas this year?

It was a lovely day for us; we ate and visited. Now it's time to relax and enjoy the evening. :)

Christmas Day was relaxed, except for the cooking I had to do.
In the evening. I spent it sending text messages to wish some people a happy holiday, and later, I spoke with my family overseas for a while. But before Christmas, the weekend was incredibly busy. I had a few things to do, had visitors, and went to lunch on Sunday with some people I know. It was a lot..... not that it was bad.

Anyway, I'm glad my Christmas Day was quiet at home.

The gifts I received are mostly sweets and chocolates, along with some skincare products and wine.

Glad you had a lovely day; it sounds like you enjoyed it. :)

I had a very stressful day. I couldn't afford to give anything this year, so I felt like a failure. Also received nothing, but that's fine.

I've experienced many years like that. However, the times you give or receive are rewarding; for me, being with family and people you enjoy is more important than anything else. :)

And you? How was yours?
It was good. Ate too much as per usual :p

Got a few small gifts from my sister including a french bulldog tote bag and a couple of meerkat things and $50 from my parents.

Yeah, but it kind of stings when you see everyone else enjoying the gifts they've given one another. I don't care about not getting anything, I don't need STUFF, but I love giving to others, it makes me happy.

Most people don't care to receive, but I hear you; I love to give as well. However, there were years when it wasn't in the budget.

I feel the same ,I don’t really care about receiving anything. Honestly, it makes me a little sad when I do because I don’t want anyone to spend on me.

When I was growing up, we never had that tradition. Most families would just give out some homemade sweets, and that was it. Maybe a grandparent would give some money to the grandkids, and godparents will give something.

It's way too commercialised these days.

I was working today. I'll be heading out to see my family next week and we'll do our Christmas then. :)

I had a great day today. I was up super early this morning because that's what I do on Christmas, whether I'm opening gifts with the family or not. I worked on a blanket I'm making (almost done) and ate around 7 Mandarin oranges. The Tim Horton's (coffee and donut chain) on the way to work was open today so I brought coffees for everyone, as well as mini eggnog cheesecakes that I made. There were three of us working this afternoon and we only did what we had to (feed horses). The rest of the time we just did whatever. It was sunny and mild and I brought some model horses and my camera and went out to the bush in the back to take pictures of them. After work this evening I watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special.
