When you were a child, did your parents read books for you? Well, my father used to read books for his kids. Every evening when he came back from his office, he used to pick up a book of fables and read to us. We enjoyed the reading sessions. When we started reading on our own, he stopped reading to us but he continued to buy books for us.

No never .... but also we had no books ...they could not afford it ... but they told us plenty of stories without books.

To be honest, I don't remember. I'm sure my mom did but I'm going to definitely say my dad did not.

Yup, and I have vivid memories of going to the library and picking out books. Those are some of my favorite childhood memories. :)

My mother was never fond of it, but she did a little bit. My dad did when he was in town. Mostly it encouraged me to learn to read so I could read my own books. It worked, I wound up being one of the best readers in my age range for a few years at school, that was nice.

Nerd alert!
.....just kidding :P
