My regular diet is basically meats (protein), dairy, grains, and vegetables. I sometimes eat fruits, but I kind of lack the servings required in the Food Pyramid.

I have been on a Lean Cuisine diet because I want to learn how to control my calorie count. This, right now, is working a little bit.

I think people going on diets get their needy nutrition because of the way they learn off of the Food Pyramid. They are cutting out bad stuff and eating the good stuff.

I do not know anorexia or bulimia, but I don't have either of those due to a lack of dieting.

I am happy with my weight and my body shape. I am normal weight, but it looks like I'm developing a "beer belly".

I exercise along with my diet by running races, which I will be next Friday during my current vacation in Hawaii, and exercise gyms.

In the United States, most people lack a well-balanced diet, hence being second in the world in obesity.

I weigh myself by chance.

I would like to lose 20 pounds. I am 179 right now, and I would like to be the weight from three years ago. I blame my medications for the weight gain.

Tell me about your regular diet.
I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables along with whole wheat breads and lean meat such as pork, chicken and turkey. Occasionally I'll have pasta. I also drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Have you ever been on a diet?
No. I have been blessed with a great metabolism. I can eat a lot but not gain weight.
Do you think people who go on diets get the proper nutrition their body needs?
Depends on the diet they choose. It's best to go to a nutritionist for advice.
Do you know anyone with anorexia or bulimia?
No
Are you happy with your weight and body shape?
Yes
How important is exercising as part of a diet?
Exercising and dieting go hand in hand.
How often do you weigh yourself?
Don't have a scale at home. Only time I get weighed is during my yearly physical.
Do you worry about your weight?
No
How much weight would you like to lose or put on?
None. I'm fine they way I am.
Do you know anyone who is obsessed with their weight and their figure?
No
What’s your advice for anyone who wants to diet?
Consult a nutritionist and talk to your doctor before starting any diet regiment.
Why are people so worried about the way their body looks?
Could be peer pressure or insecurity.
