Different Name

Have your parents ever told you you were supposed to be born with a different name, or mentioned they were going to name you something else but changed their mind? Or would you have just liked a different name than the one you were born with?

My name was always going to be what it is, but my dad told me once that my little brother was supposed to be named something else like Diego. They landed on Evan instead, which is a far cry from the first few choices.

Hahah, why thank god they didn't? Samy isn't a bad name and neither is its meaning! Mine means burnt offering to God.

My name was supposed to be what my middle name is. My first name was supposed to be my dad's first name and my middle name was supposed to be what my actual first name ended up being. Mom switched it when I was born.

I'll have to ask my mom what she wanted to name me. It was my dad who got to pick my first name, and I was given the name of my mom's adopted mom for my middle name.

Radha Krishna is my first name given by my parents, after that my mother changed my name as Sridhar Prasad. I am continuing with the same name since 62 years.

I could have been a Louise, a Laura or an Anna.
If i'd been a boy they wanted to called me Louis.
