Difficulty getting to sleep

The clean answer would be that I read a book.

Just try and clear my mind of everything. The more I try to sleep the more stressed I get and can't sleep. I can feel really tired after reading but as soon as I try and sleep I will be really awake.

I have to have the tele on aswell, I can't sleep at all in pitch black darkness.

Lucky, lucky, I can't really do that as it tends to make it more difficult to sleep. Not always, but often enough to not make the gamble worth it.

Reading can help me, but can also make my brain more active.

Cup of tea helps sometimes. Recently i've been taking Amitriptyline.

I tend to toss and turn till i eventually fall asleep its not very often as by the time bedtime arrives i am allways ready for a sleep..

If I have difficulty in getting sleep means I will watch the Television for sometime then I will automatically get sleep.
