Both Dirt Rally car racing and Formula 1 is a very dangerous sports. But in Dirt Rally, it's even more dangerous and risky for the fans/spectators because of how close to the proximity of the racing track/road. There are some crashes that are capable of ruining them down and even some drivers might lose control of their car and run them over.

Between Dirt Rally and F1 which are you more comfortable with?

F1, given all the investment in safety (for both drivers and spectators) in recent years - including the survival cells, wide run-off areas, and the 'Halo' head protection.

Of course, in spite of all of that, nasty accidents do still happen - but fatality rates have gone way down since the 1950s-1970s, when driver deaths really were a routine part of the sport. I don't think I'd even have been an F1 fan in that era!

I say they both can be dangerous rally properly slightly more due to the rocky dirty and lack of grip, I do agree since back then they have made some changes to make both of these motorsports safer which is good.

Yeah, that's certainly true.

Of course, the main danger with F1 is the sheer speed involved - but I guess that's why it's only accessible to experienced professionals :P .

If the pros are operating the vehicles i say it's mostly safe :)

Well, it's certainly safer than if random people from the crowd are driving them... but, the cars can still break, and even the pros sometimes do silly things because they're just pushing too hard :P .
