Do any of you remember the ice cream truck?

I know they were more common back in the day. I see them every so often but they’ve been extremely rare. Do you remember what your favorite was? I think I got ice cream sandwiches. Even though you could buy them from the store, I guess it was just something about being a kid, having your own money, & picking something to eat right then & there. Not to mention hearing the quintessential music playing that alerted you to the truck coming.

We still have them in fact I remember the old style trucks that look so cool and till this day there are ice-cream trucks or vans going around selling ice-creams still in the UK. hearing the song being played and the kids running to them asking for their ice cream and their family paying it £3 each time.

They used to visit my street when I was a kid at the STOP sign near where my parents used to live in in the early 90's.

Yes, we had one that used to stop in our street and also in my grandparents street. It was always better to be at my grandparents than at home because they would always give me money to go and get one

We have one that drives through the neighborhood on Thursday evenings. My toddler can recognize the tune from blocks away. I'm just glad that they don't charge an arm and a leg for a treat. I usually get a chocolate lovers drumstick.

we still have one around but they creep me out, im sure i watched a movie at one point and the guy was a very bad man.

Love them because usually, the ice cream is a lot tastier and creamier. Not sure how many people here are like this but I don't care what the weather is like, I can eat ice cream. Recently got ice cream from an ice cream truck when I was on holiday even though the weather was awful and it was raining.

We never had this ice cream truck in my country, but we do have them in roller carts.

Not so much the ice cream truck but hawkers selling ice candy. They would be seen visiting lanes and by lanes and this was when I was a kid. .

Oh yeah we still have them still come around my neighbour but it is no longer my thing . My youngest ones are enjoying them
