More craziness coming from California.

“Democrat led Sacramento has taken another step in depriving jobs to Californians.”

It sure seems that way. Every policy, law and regulation promoted and passed by Liberal/Progressives squeezes the free market more and eliminates jobs. Democrats at the national level want to do to the whole country what they are doing to California.

From JohnLHancock.com:

Yesterday, Brown signed a bill that forces all employers, regardless of the size of the company, to provide sick pay to their employees. Under the law, employers must provide 1 hour of sick pay for every 30 hours of work.

*reads OP* If that's craziness...then more of it, thank you very much. Furthermore, when have Republicans ever give a darn about working people except to screw them over....

It's a personally owned business they should have the right to run it as they please. people took the job of their own free will. if you don't like it start your own business and offer such things.

Me thinks you're missing the point there...we all have the right to start our own businesses, our own companies, we do not have to right to pick and choose what laws to obey. Don't like a particular law...work to change it.

Not missing any point. A government is making a unethical besides destructive to force a business to do a certain business practice they have no right to do morally. And besides being unconstitutional like a minimum wage. But since we have a judicial system that hardly practices anything constitutional anymore like obama care we will just continue to see a economy decline and people thinking they have a right to stuff thats not theres.

*reads Liberty's comment* So, basically, you believe business should be able to do whatever they want and to hell with the workers? Given the John Galt avy of yours, it doesn't surprise me... *looks around and points off in the distance* ....since, as best as I can figure, government shouldn't be able to do anything towards business, I believe Somalia Galt's Gulch is that way, my friend.

Meanwhile, the rest of us in America, we'll listen to the fiery words of Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who said the following a few years back and whose remarks are a good contrast to yours. Quoting:
I hear all this, you know, 'Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever.' No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own — nobody. You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory — and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did. Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless — keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.

I believe they should be able to pay whatever they choose and give whatever benefits they choose if a person with there own free will decides thats what they want to work for. What each states government should make sure is that the employer is providing a safe environment to work at. Other then that government needs to butt out.

The rest of America? That will be a small majority of America listening that misinformed lady. I think America has had quite enough of obama thinking.

Better his thinking than what passes for conservative thought, my friend...

Oh, yes, the Democrats are so much better.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD — A borough council candidate is bowing out of his race after revelations that he allegedly shouted racist slurs while mooning patrons of a local diner.

Nebulous Sorrentino, in a statement released Wednesday by his Democratic ticket, said he made a "stupid mistake" seven years ago, but learned from it. Local Republicans released police reports Wednesday detailing two separate incidents at the Sherbans Diner.

"I regret what happened, and I have worked every single day to prove that I am not the man that the report says," Sorrentino said.

In 2007, police went to the Sherbans Diner to investigate a report that several men were acting disorderly -- one of the men had allegedly mooned a woman and her daughter, and used a sexist epithet to describe them. The officer arrived to find Sorrentino with his pants down, yelling the N-word through the diner window, according to the police report.

The police officer yelled at Sorrentino to stop, according to the police report. (The reports, which contain offensive language, can be found here.)

Sorrentino apologized to police repeatedly, the report said, but was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He appeared intoxicated, police said. Sorrentino didn't respond to NJ Advance Media's requests for elaboration. According to the South Plainfield municipal court, the charge was reduced to improper behavior/disorderly conduct, and Sorrentino paid $533 for a fine and court costs. He was in his early 20s at the time.

Ha, that was cute...no, if you want a declining America, Liberty, go ahead and let Republicans run things. On the other hand, if you want an America whose fiscal house improves year-by-year, you might want a Democrat running things.

...then again, given you have John Galt in your avy, you miust really want America to go the way of Somalia Kansas, huh?:|

I try.

Hell I can only think of 3 maybe 5 in Congress I would trust to run this government so the democrats are taking us to hell in a rocket ship while the republicans are doing the same in a really fast sports car.

Democrats and fiscal responsibility. LOL! You mean like the last 6 years of hell from our dear leader spending more then all combined presidents combined. And not to mention the most destructive bill ever seen for America called obama care. Not to say our fake republican presidents who have hardly done anything conservative have been fiscally responsible either. Both sides of presidents have been a disgraces, traders to the Constitution and should all be in shackles sharing a jail cell.

No I do not support crony capitalism. My avy says I want the original self reliant America we once had with people who make it or fall without stealing from others.

I do not even need to click on the crap to probably to read the same crap they like to repeat over and over again. Whats this one the Social Security one maybe?

For all of Ayn Rand's objectivism, rejection of altruism as a moral virtue and her talk of self-sufficiency, Liberty, she was just as much a hypocrite as most on the right (and for that matter, most people, come to think of it) when it came to actually receiving said benefits. In a sense, she reminds me of all the Tea Party morans who protest Obamacare while holding up signs saying "Government, hands off my Medicare"...not realizing (or maybe not giving a ---- either way) that Medicare is, unbeknownst to them, a government-run healthcare program.

I tell you what let me invest in my own health care and retirement with my own money earned and I would give up all the stolen money taken from me over the years with programs that are not even constitutional. But if I have to have my money taken by me with force I will try and take back every single penny not willing given when it comes time to take those waste of a programs. Just like I will do Ayn did the same thing and only took back whats hers.

So in conclusion you have no idea what you speak of. While whinny leftists would cry, complain and fall into despair, self sufficient and industrial people would take that opportunity with there own money back to move forward and create something with it.

"His Thinking"

President Obama returned a formal military salute by saluting with a coffee cup he had in his hand as he stepped off his U.S. Marine Corps helicopter in New York on Sunday.

A video of the gesture that some are calling the “latte salute” was uploaded to the White House Instagram account.

“President Obama just landed in New York for #UNGA2014,” the caption reads.
