Why do think lie detectors aren't allowed in criminal cases?
Because people can flat fool them; cases in point: Aldrich Ames, Robert Hanssen and Ana Montes. All three passed numerous polygraphs and all were later convicted of spying (Ames and Hanssen for the USSR/Russia, Montes for Cuba).
