Do you believe in friendship?

I value friendship and believe in it, but sadly I've only made one very decent friend my entire adulthood and I'm 32. It's hard for me to find people I can put full trust in and I'm not the most sociable person, so put two and two together and I'm pretty horrible overall at making friends. Friendship can be important to me because you can keep in contact with each other to share your life with one another and in doing so you are creating a bond. I rarely get to see my only friend now since he lives out of the city, but we text message each other frequently. It's always nice to share what's going on in my life and what's going on in his so we can form that bond.

My best friend from childhood turned into a crackhead and seems to be deteriorating more and more each time I see him. Its really sad. Last I heard he moved like 80 miles away. Not sure why. Known him for almost 30 years. I would reach out but he always changes phone numbers and isn't on social media. I have to wait for him to contact me I suppose.

I'm sorry to hear that, people are so radically different when they're dependent on drugs or alcohol, not at all the friends we know them as. I hope he manages to sort his life out!

I hope he's still alive TBH! I always wonder if he is dead when I don't hear from him for long periods of time.

Friendship is very dear to me, because I have friends who I know on social media for 13 years or maybe longer than that.

That's sucks. My ex wife got into meth & left the kids on my doorstep. They didn't see her for 2 and half years because she moved 2 hours away and shacked up with a sex offender, who was also her meth dealer, and they lived out of a hotel.

At least she didn't take the kids with her! What a horrible life that would be for them.
