Same here. I'm a firm believer in Hitchen's Razor, that what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.
My mom would hate you. 😂 She is a hardcore christian who regularly tries to get me to believe, because "I want all my kids in heaven with me." She tries to guilt trip me as well with it. The funniest part about it is, even if heaven/hell were real, I'd have an express ticket to hell. I don't know what world she's living in where I've been good. 😂
I feel your pain. My mother is a Christian as well and no longer challenges me in debates anymore. She can't even answer half of the counter - apologetic questions I throw in her direction and has made religious debates between us off limits. She has the same stance as your mother. She made a religious insult once that I remember to this day: "well, we'll miss you when we're in heaven and you're not." Okay. Like I care. I believe in one fewer god than she does. She's going to hell in all of the other religions she dismisses.
