Do you care if your members do drugs/alcohol?

I've never really asked this question. And I'm one whole smokes weed on a regular bases, but this doesn't effect me when posting on the forum.

I think it's your choice and you should decide yourself whether you are able to post on a forum when doing stuff like drugs/alcohol. I wouldn't use any forum if I couldn't handle it while smoking, and either should anyone else whether your drinking or whatever the case is.


I realize it probably isn't the best thing to do and that many people disagree with drugs anyways not sure about alcohol, but I wouldn't post on here or any forum if I wasn't sure I could handle it.

If they're just going to post stupid crap like "wooo so toked 420 blaze it" I'd rather they not. Similarly, if they're going to try taking part in an intellectual/intelligent discussion while shitface drunk, I'd rather they didn't.

I've seen it happen on another forum where the member was shitfaced. Posting all kinds of weird shit and answering his own questions. It was quite entertaining for me. Quite embarrassing for him when he showed up sober.

I agree, some people make things more interesting when they aren't in the right state of mind. Sometimes it's exactly what a forum is looking for haha.

I don't care. I don't have anything against pot. Other drugs? Most members and staff members who are addicts I don't care seeing as we are acquaintances and it doesn't bother me. Doesn't affect my life.

I never really cared if my members where doing drugs or alcohol. It is their life and as long as they follow the rules and remain respectful I don't care if they are under the influence.

If it's a known addiction I will keep an eye on the member and stay updated on how they are doing/feeling. Especially when they are trying to kick their addiction, I want to encourage them to be the best version of themselves they can be so I would check up on them more often and ask how their sobriety is going.

If the member is sticking to the rules and is a good member than I really don't care whether they are drinking or smoking or doing drugs.

I have a couple members that I wonder about sometimes but generally it has not been a problem. As Ellie said, as long as they aren't being a problem on the site, they can put whatever they like in their body.
