Even after I've entered a post, I usually read it through and sometimes I'll hit the "Edit" button because I've spotted a spelling mistake or perhaps want to change something.

Do you edit your posts or just bang in whatever you've typed ?

I have a huge habit of editing my posts in debates multiple times because of misspellings and finding errors in it. I wish I could just write everything and be happy with it.

I usually always make a mistake and edit my posts. I hate when other forums turn the edit function off! Some will leave the edit option there for a certain time limit but sometimes I spot mistakes in old posts I've re-read and cant do anything about it.

Yeah I edit if I type incorrectly or want to change something. I will usually add edit to the post and why I did so

For myself, I don't usually like to go back too far in a thread to edit because other people would have read the post by then and reacted to how it is.

Yeah thats a good point. Sometimes I can be a perfectionist though so it bothers me when I've seen a typo, even if its years later. Lol

I'll edit posts for clarity and spelling/grammar mistakes, but I've never been very fond of the 'edited' line.

Oh yeah that bugs me too on other forums when I see that in my posts after I've edited something.

I used to get one of my 'friend' staff members to edit out the edit line for me because I despised it so much at one point.

I am wondering if we have it here or if I changed the settings. I can't remember. Hmm

I have learned to proofread my posts before posting. If I do later see a mistake I will edit if allowed. I have at times quoted myself and wrote the correction.
