Do you hush people at the movies?

This is the reason why I don't go to theaters much anymore. Kids go in and they sit there and run their mouths. I've told middle schoolers and young kids to please be quiet when they wouldn't stop talking. A majority of the time, the most common response I get back is "shut up" or "fuck you" and management almost never does anything about it. So I end up complaining, getting a refund, and then leaving. It's worse than it's ever been. Kids have no respect for boundaries. Their parents teach them nothing.
If someone is being noisy at the movies I tend to turn and make it known that I am not happy about it but have not hushed anyone or said anything to them.
I have known some to say something and it has caused an argument though which then tends to ruin it for others in the movies.
