Do you keep your doors at home locked at all time? Why or why not?

Not during the day while we're home, safe street.

I keep everything locked up, when we're home or when we're gone. We even have web cams set up. I'm very paranoid about getting robbed or having some odd ball walk in and attack me.

When I lived at an apartment complex, people would check to see if you had a door unlocked and if you did.....easy pickings. They'd rob you blind. It happened to several of my neighbors who didn't lock up thoroughly. Cops don't do anything if there's no sign of forced entry or witnesses.

I keep everything locked and have a doorbell camera. I do live in a better neighborhood these days and theres a 99% chance nothing will happen if I left the doors unlocked, but you never know. Better safe than sorry.

Living in a rural area, most days I usually don't; about the only time I lock the doors are either at night or whenever I go to town.

During the daytime usually just the front, streetside, door. Usually not the back door; quite a bit of back & forth between the house & the detached garage.

Yep, because if I don't my mother will go walkabouts...

I remember that I had to barricade the kitchen to try to keep "her" away from microwave, stove, etc. buttons & all meds in a padlocked tool box.
Padlocks on gates to keep her from wandering off. Like a 4-year-old in a strong, adult body....hard to outguess what kind of mischief she would get into.

Yep, very much the same here sadly

Yes, as a single woman living in a medium-sized city, I feel incredibly uncomfortable leaving anything unlocked. Be it windows, doors, etc. I have had people come up to my door and jiggle the knob. It doesn't happen often, but enough that I refuse not to lock things up.

Yes because as a disabled woman living alone, I am more vulnerable. Also, I don't trust anyone.

My grandmother lived in a rural area and thought she was safe until she was robbed. People from the city have been driving out to rural areas because its easy pickins'
