Do you ever salt your ketchup?

I do quite a bit. When I get food from McDonald's I'll salt my ketchup and then dip my fries and burger into it.

My initial reaction. Ketchup is pretty salty already. Why would you need to put more into it?

Maybe he's just being efficient by combining the two in case the fries might need a little extra salt; that way he doesn't have two extra things to deal with?
