Do you think it's immoral for someone who cheats in a relationship or a marriage is acting immorally? Why or why not?

I imagine that in many instances cheating would be immoral as when you are in a relationship there is an understanding that you will be faithful to each other. In relationships people can really open up, show their vulnerable side and become quite interconnected with their partner, Cheating would only be more acceptable when you were no longer free within your relationship and for reasons beyond your control you were stuck in it.

I would say its immoral and grounds for a break-up if it's done in secret and in a sneaky way. I think if someone in a relationship wants to have sex with someone else they should have a discussion with their partner beforehand. Of course that discussion will probably result in a break-up but at least the potential cheater was up front about it before doing anything wrong.
