When I was a teenager, I would be out all hours of the night and nobody even cared. Dad was gone and mom was going through some problems. I still managed to graduate with a 3.0 (B average) though.
When I was 18 I was kicked out on my own. My relationship with my parents improved after that.

Yes. I stay out until after 10 on most nights, and I don't really have a curfew. My mom knows how late I stay up and doesn't really mind it because I just stay in my room the whole time. I can just tell her I'm going somewhere with a friend, like to the movies or to their house or something, and she won't care.

Now that I am married and on my own. Mom still has strict rules and I still know what they are. She still doesn't nag me (well, much, anyway)
