Who is your favourite doctor? Why? Or do you not watch it? Why not?

I don't watch it myself personally. It's not my genre of tv. Though from what I've seen David tennant is a good doctor.

Ive never even seen the show. Would it be hard for an american like me to follow?

I've only seen bits of it and from what I've seen its not too hard to follow I think.

From what I've heard/seen it is quite popular in the states.

Tom Baker was brilliant from the classic Doctors. I like all three of the current ones.

I really need to watch it all at some point.
I've probably seen a whole three episodes of various seasons/doctors... No favourites for me.

some are better and some are not as good.

More important is the underlying story, and some of them have been a little thin.

Case in point, the recent episode titled "God Complex" (the hotel with the monster in the halls), the first part of the story was good, Amara Karan is one of the prettiest women to ever be on the show, and the other characters were at least interesting. But the ending of the episode was laughingly weak.

I know you're not going to have a 'weeping angel' quality story on every show.....

but

Come on BBC writers, you can do better than what you did.

I've been really enjoying the show thanks to Netflix. I wished Eccleston had stuck around for more then one season though. Hated that the Doctor got snatched away before he could confess how he felt to Rose. Currently enjoying what I'm seeing with Martha. Though I find myself wondering if Tennant's Doctor was able to expel some radiation from his feet and into his shoes in the episode he meets Martha in. Wouldn't he have been able to do the same thing in his final scenes during the two part finale? Or was that bit of radiation a lot more then what the other time was?

And glad to see there is a topic centered on this and that I didn't more or less wind up creating a duplicate like thread.
