Does laughter therapy work?

To some degree yes. Though if all you're doing is laugh therapy and your circumstances don't change then it will only help for a short period of time. I think someone needs to get to the root to the issue to completely resolve the issue.

I think laugh therapy can help to some degree but I don't think it will help you long term.

Laughter is good therapy for some, absolutely, but it is not a cure all and it doesn't help when it comes to bouts of depression or anxiety/panic attacks. So yes, limited success, though it will be a YMMV situation for all.

What PGen said. It works temporarily, but when the laughter wears off, reality sets back in.
