Do spray paint fumes give you a headache?

I can't stand the smell of it. The guys over in the detail sometimes walk in reeking of it and if I smell it long enough, It gives me a bad headache.

I don't either; but sure might if you used the spray paint in an under-ventilated room. Seems like the heavier-than-air particles would interfere with normal breathing? ...thus the headache?
