When was the last time your cat and/or dog has vomited? Do you ever get upset when they get sick?

My cat just literally puked all over the floor which is the first time she's ever puked really. I don't get mad though cause it isn't like she wants to be sick or get sick. She's also an older cat (over 20 years old) so really anything that she does at this point doesn't upset me.

I did make a vet appointment though because she is older and I want to make sure all is good.

Our cat vomits up hair balls all of the time. It's pretty common in Maine Coon cats.

Oddly enough Barb never has had fur balls. 🤔 I would think Maine Coon cats would have tons of hair balls and it doesn't help they have long hair.

One of my cats barfs only occasionally; never know which one to blame because this usually happens at nite and I don't know 'who done it'. Sometimes it's a hairball.........this is usually my signal to get busy with the "cat grass", that seems to help with hairballs. Sometimes it's Frankie (the bigger cat) because she's a PIG & has 'overeaten' (she'll steal Baby's portion of the canned food).
They're both 'middle aged', but I do know that older cats will get to a point where they're not digesting things properly. Does not upset me because I know that it's not something that they do deliberately.

I don't even wanna know

My one cat used to get sick because she would eat too much and too quickly lol. She was definitely a pig and I hated having to pick up her puke because if she would have just ate slower it wouldn't have been a problem. Cats getting hangry is an actual thing lol

I have not investigated 'slow-down' feeding bowls for cats; but they do work pretty slick for dogs that gobble their food too quickly. :D

They also work for cats, my friend had one for her cat and it worked for them. At the time when I had my piggy cat I didn't know about this such tool though which would have been life changing for me lol. My cat would get sick all too often cause she rushed through her food.

Such a smart invention
