Do you think naturally aggressive dogs can be trusted if raised properly?

It's always a little of both, but seeing as how dogs are being bred to be pets or at least trainable, nurture is the big offender here. So yeah, I agree with Smooth.

This breed specific banning that's going on is stupid, and incorrect.
Weren't some breeds being banned for having genetic defects that made it hard for the dogs to breathe? (Not really related, but it seemed like a good reason.)

There was/is an interesting study on the subject (but with foxes): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domesticated_silver_fox

Technically, you're not, every animal can attack if only because it can move.
The likelihood of something like that happening with a species that has been bred for millennia to be by our side is just infinitesimal, provided the individual was raised well.

I haven't heard about anything like that, EE, but I sincerely hope it's true.
I was wrong, it was just an airline refusing to fly them around anymore.

Gemma Antell claimed her pet Pomeranian, Elvis, was decapitated outside the home of her mother-in-law in Warrington on Saturday after the larger dog entered the front garden, dragging its handler behind it.

After the attack on Elvis, a member of the public took a picture of the Staffordshire bull terrier and the woman holding its leash, whose arm was covered in blood.

Gemma posted the picture onto Twitter in an attempt to identify the owner.

"The dog literally ripped his head off," Ms Antell said in a post on Facebook. "It ripped Elvis in half. It is my son's birthday and my kids are in tears and my whole family are traumatised.

"The worst part of this is the dog 'owners' witnessed the attack and just walked off saying it was not their fault.

The owner, or their stand in, needs to be in control of the dog.
