Kids aren't that expensive. I raised one and I still manage to have an un-drained bank account.

Depends on your career choice like in any country I suppose. Don’t start a family if you’re working at Mc Donald’s

True, but my country has the highest prices and lowest wages in the entire European Union. Jobs are very difficult to find, despite the labor shortage, even with the college / university education.

Country has been facing constant depopulation and a decline in childbirth for years now, thanks to low wages and some other factors, like ridiculously slow and inefficient justice system and a widespread of corruption, inequality and general injustice.

I'm lucky to have a stable job* with a steady income. I suppose I could always follow suit, pack my bags and move to another country, but I really don't want to do that.

*By "stable job", I mean a permanent position, not a job at a horse stable. And by "permanent", I mean "until I fail my next background security check mandatory for all employees, or I become redundant."

I decided at the age of 8 I wasn't having any and have never wavered. Reasons? I don't like the pain involved in giving birth, am asexual, have mental health issues, value my freedom too much and I hate children anyway.

I couldn't even imagine how painful childbirth would be!
