Do you still download music or just stream everything?

Stream for the most part. I do have gigs and gigs of songs downloaded to my phone. Also I've downloaded a few spotify playlists in case I have no signal, I can still have tunes.

It works within the home network, even when the ISP has an outage, and it can work when out and about like any other streaming service

For me, my phone's 4G network (cell towers almost never go down, even in Western NC).

Same here, cell phone internet is a good backup. But there's been times when it's all gone down, for several hours. Phone and internet alike.
