How did you learn to drive a car? Who taught you, and how many lessons did you need?

Do you ever go driving just for fun?

Momma taught me. Never did learn to parallel park though. Passed my driver's test on the first time. And I love to drive. I used to go for a drive for fun, but gas is just too expensive to do that these days....

Hmm well I grew up on 4-wheelers, skidoos and dirt bikes so I guess maybe my dad taught me how to drive at first but we were left to own devices at a younger age.

As for how to drive a car my mom did most of the teaching and I'll tell you she does not make a good instructor. She has horrible anxiety and loves to be in control of everything so being a passenger while teaching someone to drive is not her thing. I also did take drivers ed mostly because I wanted to get lower insurance rates. BUT before I actually got my license, I had a friend who needed a babysitter and needed someone to pick up her kids from school and drive them around to appointments so while I was babysitting I had access to her car and I did that for a bit when I was about 15 years old. Looking back I don't think it was the smartest thing to do but I definitely had fun and never crashed so there is that lol
