Based on Koei Tecmo's namesake game. The Yellow Turban Rebellion breaks out in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. With the help of his trusted right-hand men Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, militia leader Liu Pei successfully suppresses the revolt. The calculating warlord Dong Zhuo takes advantage of the situation and takes control of the court, stirring further unrest.

A little trivia: the same Louis Koo who was an executive producer on ‘the Mitchells vs the Machines’ also stars in this movie.

All I know is I'm ready to see the Hu Lao gate scene and the men screaming in fear as they realize Lu Bu is guarding it.

I want to see Zhuge Liang's brilliance translated to the screen. His tactics were far beyond those of any other tactician at the time. His only weakness was his health. Though to be fair, Cao Cao knew how to capitalize on the turmoil of the time and draw extremely powerful allies to his cause. When he managed to convince Zhang Liao to his cause, I was awed. This was a man who was extremely loyal to Lu Bu.

The action of the games felt like watching a movie. And now this movie feels like watching the game cutscenes. Taking recycling to a new level!

Hey now, I quite enjoyed it. I'm hoping they do several sequels. Would be great to see the battle of Changban

Several sequels, Ohhh boy :( Not my type then isn't it. Maybe the next will be not recycling type effect :P

Shush. The games are golden memories of my childhood. I would love for them to remaster DW with the new unreal engine and tweak it a bit, make it really shine.

There technically is a live action adaption of the Battle of Changban, called Red Cliffs. It's not as flashy or showy, you should give it a go.
