With the massive MMO RPG coming out soon, I think it would be a good idea to post some videos / screenshots / images of the game.

Feel free to post your own! Enjoy :D

I don't have an Xbox One of a PS4 and my PC sucks so I don't think I will, lol. How about you?

Hmmmm, probably not :s

Considering it's also a subscription fee game, I doubt it'll get far. They're trying to be the next WoW-killer, and we all know how that turned out for Star Wars: The Old Republic (the last MMO that claimed to be a WoW-killer)

So far only the WoW and guild wars model seems to work longterm. My problem with this MMO isn't the subscription fee, it's how basic the mechanics of this game seem in the videos. Stories are great for an MMO, but in the end you wanna keep people playing. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm in no way an expert on this game, but most of the gameplay seems as simplistic as the single player version. No cooldowns, like 5 skills per weapon combo unless you go mage, etc. That's quite horrible end game.

In the end I see this as an online single player game. The world will be ridiculously big and there will be thons of things to do, yes, but once you finished that story there's no reason to go back to it. So hardcore players will leave this game soon enough and it will be a game for casuals, casuals who for the most part really can't be bothered with monthly fees anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to play this game for a while. I'm not interested at all in the undoubtly completely imbalanced PvP that looks more like an FPS at times but the PvE seems really nice. So when this game flops and becomes free to play I'll buy it and play my way through the story, revisit the old morrowind areas and such. But then... it's time to go back to Guild Wars 2. :P

Like you're reading my mind!

I want to see their take on things: environments, characters and stories mostly. However, I have no intentions of paying a monthly fee.

Yeah, I get that. I'm playing the f2p version of swtor now and tbh it's quite restrictive, but I'm enjoying myself a lot so I may eventually buy some extra upgrades for my account.

However, I hope bethesda's f2p plan will be better because in swtor they're limiting the amount of skills you can shortcut and that seperates the f2p gamers from the subs both in end game PvE and in PvP.

That's why I invested my time in Wizardry Online. The only cash items are cosmetic, and it's got a huge reliance on party play so I can always have fun with people. Though I have to lay low there currently, as I'm one of the most hated players >.>' heheh

Yeah it's the same with GW2. You don't need anything from the gem store, they're just QOL and cosmetic updates. And even IF you really want something from the store you can just use in game gold (not cheap ofc). Sadly the community is deteriorating fast in instanced & group play. Atm there's just not much to do, so everyone does the same thing over and over. Not much patience left for people that don't play that well yet. I'm hoping it'll get better in future updates because of new content or I might just switch to a different game completely.

So I thought I'd give swtor a shot considering it's mostly free now. Prob going to sub for a month once my level gets high enough. After you paid once you get preferred status if you don't renew your sub. That way you lose a lot of QOL upgrades but you get the necessary skill bars and stuff you need in hard mode instances. The only thing I dislike about this game is that it has a lot of vertical progression. Got like 5 end game gearing tiers. Blahh.
