Do you mind if a forum requires you to validate your account through email?

I don't mind as I think they do that to make sure you are really the one signing up.

I don't mind it, although I don't care for it sometimes cause I just want to get right into the posting and such. Although, I did turn the validation thing off at my forum. But in order for anyone to receive emails from the site, they have to do mess with the Validation thing, something I don't have any control over.

it depends.. if im signing up to a forum to chat then i do not mind.. it shows the forum owner cares about the forum and does not have automatic bots posting ..



if im wanting to sign up to download or see anything its a pain to go through my email since im impatient haha

The amount it annoys me goes up the longer it takes to arrive. I like it when it never comes into my box( both main and spam box). lol



I don't have it on my board simply because I don't need it. I don't care if you use a real one and ZB is built to block bots so I don't need to do anything.

I'd rather have it done that way than having an administrator validate your account. Because the sooner you get validated, the sooner you can start posting! So I technically don't mind if email validation is turned on.

I didn't see this till now, but yeah I never thought of that. If you have to wait to recieve your email, then I don't really care to post at that forum much, then.
