They are pretty amazing if you think about it. Lots of metal and liquids all operating with each other to make a car move or a lawnmower run or whatever..
 
All that comes to mind for me is how amazingly expensive they to fix when things go wrong.

They are pretty amazing when you think about it but I agree with Nebulous. They can be very expensive to fix when something goes wrong.

i once told that deffinition to someone who was supposed to be teaching me how an engine works!...........i also ended up showing him how the valves and timing gear worked too

.........couldnt believe we all worked for a car manufacturer and out of the 5 of us i was the only one that knew!
