Well, a while back I got kicked from X (Twitter) for using an alternate account to evade a previous account suspension.....so I decided "What the hell" and decided to create another alternate account so that I could be on X.

Just tried to log on a little while ago and found that my account had suspended; why?
For having an account on the platform in an effort to evade the previous suspension.

Oh Snap GIF

*sighs* Well, that's one less place to visit on the interwebs.....

Did you use a VPN for the new account?

Have you tried signing up from another browser than the one you're usually, well, using? I recommend connecting to a different Wi-Fi hotspot in a different location (laptop preferrably), cleared browser cookies, and use different email aliases. E.g. youremailaddress+alias@gmail :nono: but another separate email [email protected] (y)

It's much better to either use proton or tutanota mails for signing up.

Just feel like giving tips to evade bans

I've got a ton of Twitter accounts from the various websites/forums I've ran, and I've noticed that they've randomly suspended a couple of them. Not sure if they just notice all the IP matches between my accounts, or if it's just random.

that's the classic Twitter/X suspension spiral. Once they flag you for ban evasion, they get pretty aggressive about tracking down new accounts. They're probably using device fingerprinting, IP addresses, phone numbers, email patterns, or even behavioral analysis to connect your new accounts back to the original banned one.

It's frustrating because their enforcement feels so inconsistent - like you see actual bots and harassment accounts that somehow stay up forever, but they're laser-focused on ban evasion. Makes no sense.

I get the temptation to keep trying though. When you're used to being part of those conversations and communities, it feels weird to just be locked out completely. But honestly? They've gotten pretty sophisticated about detecting this stuff. Even using different devices, VPNs, new email addresses - they still seem to figure it out eventually.

Might be worth just taking a break from the platform for a while. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but sometimes the energy spent trying to get around their systems isn't worth it. Plus there are other places to scratch that social media itch now.
