Do you believe that we came from monkeys? Why or why not?
You're saying they made a conscious decision not to evolve?Probably because they're smart enough to know life is much simpler when you can spend all day monkeying around instead of pretending there's more to life than eat, sleep and die.
I do believe in evolution but I also have to wonder.... why are there still monkeys and apes if we evolved from them? Why didn't they evolve too?
Humans and monkeys are both primates. But humans are not descended from monkeys or any other primate living today. We do share a common ape ancestor with chimpanzees. It lived between 8 and 6 million years ago. But humans and chimpanzees evolved differently from that same ancestor. All apes and monkeys share a more distant relative, which lived about 25 million years ago.
It is, also very accurateThat is awesome!
Simple answer is because humans are not descendants of them at all...I do believe in evolution but I also have to wonder.... why are there still monkeys and apes if we evolved from them? Why didn't they evolve too?
As you understand it has the theory of evolution ever been observed in controlled experiments etc...?I don't believe in evolution. I understand why Evolution exists. Because we share a common ancestor which I posted in the above post. Unlike superstitious religion, Science doesn't yet have an answer for everything. That doesn't mean it never will.

Not modern apes, no, but we share common ancestry, that's irrefutable.Simple answer is because humans are not descendants of them at all...
Irrefutable...? How is it irrefutable when the theory of evolution doesn't explain how we all evolved all at the same time worldwide without leaving any trace of how this evolutionary leap occurred so efficiently that nobody noticed this change to everyone at the same time? Not modern apes, no, but we share common ancestry, that's irrefutable.
Evolution isn't a snap of the fingers and it's done, it's a process that takes generations, lots of them. We evolved over a very long period of time.Irrefutable...? Ok I understand the concept but still it hasn't been proven like the Law of Gravity or that the earth is round etc...what I'm trying to point out is there is too much unexplained like if it didn't happen with a snap of the finger why aren't there any Neanderthals left at all while there are less evolved animals around like monkeys ect...there's too many missing links in the Theory of Evolution...Evolution isn't a snap of the fingers and it's done, it's a process that takes generations, lots of them. Who says Neaderthal DNA isn't still mixed in with human DNA? 1-4 % of the human genome is believed to derive from Neanderthal DNA for those who do not come from direct African descent.Ok I understand the concept but still it hasn't been proven like the Law of Gravity or that the earth is round etc...what I'm trying to point out is there is too much unexplained like if it didn't happen with a snap of the finger why aren't there any Neanderthals left at all while there are less evolved animals around like monkeys ect...there's too many missing links in the Theory of Evolution...
