So it's something with my browser?

I'm using Chrome and I have the ads shut off. If you're using Chrome too, here's how to shut them off: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95472?hl=en

More information regarding ad blocking browser plugin: http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/block-pop-ads-google-chrome-add/

If you're not using Chrome, let me know what browser you're using so I can get the ad turn off information for you.

All the ads are "Coupon Drop Down"

CouponDropDown
is annoying adware program that displays coupons in the corner of your screen. Actually, this coupon display might be caused by similar applications classified as PUP (potentially unwanted program). These applications are used for advertising but promoted as something useful that you can to install as freeware. Sometimes, CouponDropDown adware is deceptively installed by a download client for a free program that you need. It is offered as optional software that is already set for automatic installation, and if you fail to disable CouponDropDown, then it will infect your web browsers. This program is not a virus or Trojan, but it is not safe to keep adware on your computer.

It's also possible your computer is infected with adware or spyware or any of that sort of crap. Those things will cover any website you go to with ads even if the site itself actually has no ads on it. You might want to do a scan with a spy and adware detection and removal program which I am sure there is decent free ones if you don't already have one on your computer.

As mentioned, you probably have some spyware/malware on your computer.

Off Topix.net is 100% ad free and is not sending those. :dontknow:

Have you tried downloading Adblock to your browser? It blocks any and all advertisements. It will also help with your ad problem, including the issue you're referring to in this thread.

Yep, i like to help people out  :)

I guess if he really needs his computer fixed. He could take it to a computer maintenance store and have someone fix it.

For a simple Adware? I dont think so.

It costs money and i do it for free.

I think he's better off using Malwarebytes to get rid of what ever he's got. Its always solved every malware or trojan issue that I've had.

@Farfar oh, sorry if you thought I was referring to you. I wasn't.

...I was referring to malware software from a reputable source (like download.cnet.com), any program with good reviews and high ratings will probably do the job just fine.
