Excessive Ads/

I don't know if it's just me but I now have excessive advertisements on the top and middle of most pages I visit on the forum?

It's also possible your computer is infected with adware or spyware or any of that sort of crap. Those things will cover any website you go to with ads even if the site itself actually has no ads on it. You might want to do a scan with a spy and adware detection and removal program which I am sure there is decent free ones if you don't already have one on your computer.

As mentioned, you probably have some spyware/malware on your computer.

Off Topix.net is 100% ad free and is not sending those.

Have you tried downloading Adblock to your browser? It blocks any and all advertisements. It will also help with your ad problem, including the issue you're referring to in this thread.

• Flush DNS.
  
• Report IE proxy settings
  
• Reset IE Proxy settings.
  
• Report FF proxy settings.
  
• Reset FF proxy settings.
  
• List Contents of Hosts.
  
• List IP configuration.
  
• List Installed Programs.

Once all these Options are checked, press the

Button.

Copy and paste the log on pastebin.com and give us the URL Link.

2. Download Security Check from here or here

• Execute SecurityCheck.exe
  
• Follow the insturctions inside the black box
  
• A Notepad with logs should popup, Please copy and paste them on

• Execute FRST.exe/FRST64.exe

I guess if he really needs his computer fixed. He could take it to a computer maintenance store and have someone fix it.

It costs money and i do it for free.

I think he's better off using Malwarebytes to get rid of what ever he's got. Its always solved every malware or trojan issue that I've had.

...I was referring to malware software from a reputable source (like download.cnet.com), any program with good reviews and high ratings will probably do the job just fine.
