What is the worst extreme weather you have ever experienced?

I live in California so I don't get much extreme weather. Whatever I can come up with is probably tame compared to those of you who life in other states / countries.

Tropical Storm Sandy was interesting. The TV talking heads call it 'super storm', it wasn't super, just a storm.

And then there was the President's Day Blizzard a few years ago. Forty Inches of Snow in one weekend does make for a 'fun' weekend.

And I remember an Ice Storm that left about three inches of ice on our driveway back in the nineties.

But, Extreme? Nah.
