Just got back from the DMV (department of motor vehicles).. Had to take a written test, I had to renew my license and I failed.

I missed 7 and you can only miss 3. I have 2 more tries before I have to pay the fee again.. You get 3 tries per fee. Hopefully I can take it again tomorrow and pass. I got the little study book to study. Will probably do that on my breaks tomorrow at work.

I also have to renew my insurance before I can get my new registration for the year. I am going to go with a new company anyway because the last one SUCKED.

that suck here you can only miss the same amount but you don't have to pay a fee

Here are the questions I missed (have the test in front of me)...

Underlined answers are correct.

It is illegal for a person 21 years of age or older to drive with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) that is ____ or higher.

  • 0.08%
  • 0.10%
  • 0.05%

You are crossing an intersection and an emergency vehicle is approaching with a siren and flashing lights. You should:

  • Stop immediately in the intersection until it passes.
  • Pull to the right in the intersection and stop.
  • Continue through the intersection, pull to the right and stop.

You must notify law enforcement and make a written Report of Traffic Accident occurring in California (SR-1) to DMV if:

  • Your vehicle breaks down on the side of the freeway.
  • You are involved in a collision and there is a death.
  • You change your insurance company.

You park your car at the curb on a level two-way street. Before getting out of the car you should:

  • Look for cars or bicycles on the traffic side of your vehicle.
  • Turn your front wheels toward the curb.
  • Make sure you are parked at least two feet from the curb.

If five or more vehicles are following you on a narrow two-lane road:

  • Move to the right side of your lane and drive slowly.
  • Drive into the turnout areas or lanes to let them pass.
  • Continue driving because you have the right-of-way.

(Dont have a pic of the sign but it has up and down arrows on it) This yellow sign means:

  • One-way road widens into two lanes.
  • Vehicles on this road travel in two directions.
  • There is a divided highway ahead.

You are stopped at an intersection. The traffic light just turned green. Should you go immediately?

  • Yes, but yield to any vehicle or person in the intersection.
  • Yes, or you could be given a ticket for before proceeding.
  • No, because you must first wait 5 seconds before proceeding.

I cant believe I failed some of these after reading the correct answers.

Its not standard procedure but they will make certain people do it if they feel there is a need. I probably had to take a test because I had a few tickets since I last renewed.

Congrats on passing Nebulous!
