I can't be the only one who enjoys Sonic right? He's way cooler than the plumber IMO. 
Anyways, out of all the Sonic games you ever played which is your favorite and why? Also if you haven't played a Sonic game, I'm going to recommend you play my favorite at least or the Sega Genesis titles. Everyone who plays games should play a Sonic game at least once in your life IMO. My favorite hands down is Sonic 3 and Knuckles. It's the full version of what Sonic 3 was supposed to be prior to getting split up into two separate games due to a few factors. It's got the best Sonic sprites, amazing music, and the level layouts are much bigger and better than seen in Sonic 1 and 2. Plus Knuckles made his debut in this game too! For 3D Sonic, I really enjoy Sonic Adventure.
