I guess for me, it's a a hard decision between webmaster and general discussion forums. I enjoy both, personally.

I see the same sort of thing in a lot of general discussion forums as well. Some are really great (like Off Topix) and a lot of them feel like something people have already seen before. Pulled off right, general discussion forums can be great though.

Thats true, a lot of those new general discussion forums out there are just copy / pasted (or maybe slightly altered) versions of the ones that have been around for a while.
