The forum where I saw this has a small box showing a map the world. There were little red dots on the map. The caption said "members that have visited today." I hovered over each little red dot and all it tells you is the members location. There were no names of any member. It was interesting to see the locations. I guess it's a good way to track where most of your members are located.

How so? It's only giving you the location of the member. Not the members name.

Yeah, that's what it's giving you. Site owners get more than that. Sure, they can only get names of other Feedjit users, but all the same... Data analysis is interesting in what it delivers.
